Death Wish 8 Point

This Buck had a Death Wish
Wednesday just before dark I shot This Buck with My Parker Tornado at about 20 Yards, after the Shot I waited an hour got out of My treestand and to look for some sign of the hit .I found My red hot bolt minus its G5 head with 8 inches of bood on the bolt but none where He was standing or for another 50 yards so I backed out .I suspect a high Shoulder shot and was devistated .Yesterday Thursday, My Son Scott and another friend and I did grids for 3 hours until it started to rain . Not one drop of blood , I didn't sleep much at All last night but didn't give up . This Morning I set up on the run where I saw Him last about 100 yards further in from My treestand .This morning at about 9am I see two deer approaching a Doe and Buck limping behind Her to catch up.(He came back on the same run , unbelivable) I took alot of time with My shot and got a complete pass through at about 15 yards and saw Him wobble and drop at about 50 yards .He is Ear tagged but hard to see,Dragged Him to nearest road and tied Him to My quad and took Him home when I gutted Him I found that The first bolt never entered the body cavity , it went through the left sholder and stuck into the right without coming through , took photos and took Him to The Butcher
I am 72 years old , been archery hunting Since 1957 .Hunted with every kind of Bow . Broke my wrist a couple of years ago and could no longer practice with a conventional bow .The Crossbow has enabled Me to continue in a Sport that I love .
