Re: Carbon Express CX 1 0r 2 questions

I spent some time testing one last summer. It was the CX2. They shoot about 345 f.p.s. with the 200 lb. limbs and they are heavy. They are harder to cock for what you get out of them, compared to most crossbows. The Parker Tornado for example, has 165 lb. limbs and gets almost identical speeds. The stronger limbs combined with a longer power stroke make it hard to spend long days shooting it unless you buy the cocking winch. They do make a very nice winch that fits neatly into the back of the stock. The 5 lb. trigger pull is something that you will need to get used to also. The 200 lb. limbs and long power stroke also make more noise than I felt they needed to. It's a loud crossbow. They shoot well though and I made up some custom arrows that made it shoot amazing. A decent crossbow for the $599 package price.
