G5 T3 Accuracy?

The T3's (100 grain) are in my top two choices for broadheads this year.

The other choice is the new Rage Crossbow Head (100 grain) with a 1.75" cutting diamager.

I have practiced with the Rage head and found the point of impact to be exactly the same as my field tips. Accurate and deadly for sure.

However, I like the steel construction of the T3's. Does anybody have any experience with the point of impact with these heads compared to field tips? I would appreciate any input.

As we all know, many manufacturers claim to be field tip accurate, but I have found out that some just don't live up to it.

Re: G5 T3 Accuracy?

They shot amazing for me. Basically the same hole as my field tips. I just didn't like the way they deploy the blades. I couldn't be certain they were opening when they should.

Re: G5 T3 Accuracy?

Thanks Arrowhead,

One more question. If you had a new pack of 100 grain G5 T3's AND a new pack of 100 grain Rage 2's, which one would you open for the first day of the season?

Thanks...

I am sure Arrowhead will answer as well but, for me, it would be the G5s. No question. Almost forgot, I would open them a few days before the season to get some range time with them.

I support all hunters, regardless of weapon or technique!

Re: G5 T3 Accuracy?

I will never shoot a Rage at game animals. I've had way too many customers complaining about them and my own experience with them is a bad one. The G5 T3's fly great in the bows I tested them in. I couldn't prove to myself that the blades were deploying when they should, but I did hit what I was aiming at.

Thanks for taking the time to reply. Shot the T3's and they definitely are spot-on. Good luck this year.
