Advice needed on bolts

New to the world of crossbows, so apologies if these are kind of no-brainers.

I just bought a Bear Fisix FFL which uses 22" bolts and was supplied with 3 Trophy Ridge Insidious bolts with 3" vanes.

Question I have is, can I use a different brand of bolt, like a Carbon Express Pile Driver which has 4" vanes and is a different weight? The TR Insidious bolts are somewhat hard to find. I assume it's like rifle bullets, just depends on what your rig likes to shoot best?

Also, and I'm guessing this is like "What rifle is best?" but do you guys have a preference on what block style target is best?

Wherever somebody’s strugglin’ to be free,
Look in their eyes ma you’ll see me.

You can use whatever crossbow arrow you wish as long as it meets the minimum weight requirement and has the proper nock for your crossbow. I like Black Eagle Executioners.

Shooting field points any bag type target rated at the proper speed usually works well. Shooting broadheads into foam or block type targets is no fun. Often times the arrow is difficult to pull out. I like Rineharts myself. Put some arrow lube on the first few inches of arrow shaft when shooting into a block target. It helps some when pulling them out.

I support all hunters, regardless of weapon or technique!
