bow recommendation

I am placing this post for a friend of mine who is almost 70 years old and is looking to get a bow.

I suggested to him that he should look for one that is lightweight and compact.

any suggestions would be appreciated since I have no knowledge regarding bows.

Take him to a good bow shop, an independent shop with a good reputation. He'll be able to shoot different bows and get quality info and guidelines.

That is difficult to answer without knowing budget and whether he is able to rope c ock or would need a crank.

I support all hunters, regardless of weapon or technique!

I just bought my first crossbow 2 weeks ago, and like your friend I'm 70 years old, with all the aches and pains that go with it.
When I walked into the bow shop I was going to buy a Wicked Ridge, walked out with a Ten Point Renegade XLT. Yeah it ended up costing me a couple of hundred more, but it's more compact and I oped for the crank cocking system after trying the rope system.
