So this is why we like the rut...

All week the bucks have been moving and I got a 5 pointer
wednesday evening and went out today to guide my 13 year
old nephew Andrew. Early in the morning we saw a small buck
but no shot opportunities at it. A little after 12 o'clock
all heck broke loose and within 10 minutes we saw a bunch
of deer. They were running all over the place, we saw 5
bucks chasing does, 3 small 4 pointers and a slammer that
had real thick antlers with atleast 9 points and a decent
7 pointer that my nephew killed with my crossbow! The bucks
were responding well to doe bleats this week also. I think
it was the most fun week of deer hunting I have ever had!
I am working on getting the pics online.

I'd rather be fishing or hunting!
