My son had a pretty uneventful second year of hunting last year. He didn't get any shots and really didn't have any quality opportunities either. Fast forward to this year. It started out a lot like last year, not much really happening. That all changed this past week. He went pheasant hunting with a friend last Saturday for a change of pace. He downed his limit that morning and hopefully meant a turn of the tides for him. Monday started out like the rest of the season, seeing a few deer, but everything too far away. When Tuesday evening came around we decided to relocate our stand to an area a little closer to where we had been seeing most of the deer move through. The wind also finally died down also. At about 6 o'clock this little 5 point moved through and he made the most of a 20 yard shot.
