Re: excal exocet

Man,

Great bows but they can be a hard sell today since Excalibur has gone to a much narrow limb configuration over the past 4 years with their Matrix and Micros.

Just my opinion but folks that know crossbows want the narrower models. Others that are not too specific, and want a good reliable bow, will be drawn to it if the price is on the low side.

I have seen the wider Excalibur models selling when the prices gets down around $350-400.

I support all hunters, regardless of weapon or technique!

Re: excal exocet

I would agree with DPMS. Unfortunately the old models value dropped like a rock with the Matrix and Micro lines. He may want to just keep it for a backup bow as they are probably the most rock solid bow that has been made.

Honestly it is a good bow, but he could probably do better on price. I recently bought a Matrix 330 which is considerably narrower for $500 that had a couple of extra strings and the basically what is in the lite stuff package.

Re: excal exocet

I picked up an older Exocet, 12 bolts, extra string, and all the accessories for $300 last year. It had the peep sight still so I had to purchase a scope.

Re: excal exocet

I bought my Exocet new for less than that.Added custom arrows from Arrowhead.Still under that price.I know Arrowheads prices are good but at best it is worth $300 not $550.That person wants all or most of their money back.I can buy a new one right now for $480,that is without looking very hard.If I actually wanted to,I'll bet I could find it cheaper. He could get a new Matrix 330 for $30 more than that.
