removing bolt when loaded?

Just bought a cross bow yesterday at cabela's and am new to crossbows so be gentle with me. Can I remove the bolt when loaded with a bolt tipped with a broadhead and replace it with a bolt that has a field point so I can shoot it into a bag without destroying the broadhead? TY

Yep. That's the way to do it.

Good luck with it. What did you buy?

Re: removing bolt when loaded?

I bought the carbon express xb 3.5 . It is a 200 lb pull. Cabelas had it reg $849 down to $599 and I had a discount card so I got it for $530 plus tax. I seen they have a life time warranty and the quality seems to be really good but then again what do I know. Is it an OK cross bow?

Very nice bow and great deal. Made by Darton. Let us know your thoughts when you get some range time with her.

Very good bow. A little heavy for me, but a great bow. You got a good deal on that one too.
