Trouble deciding

I'm about to buy a new crossbow and have it narrowed down to 2, just having trouble deciding. Looking for some opinions on the bows.
The first one is a Excalibur Matrix 380 used for $650, only a year old
The other is a Ten Point Turbo XLT2 with accudraw 52 for the same price.
Both come with a scope, quiver and some bolts.
It will be used mainly for white tail in western PA.
Any thoughts on those two bows, can't decide if I want the much narrower ten point or the simplicity of the 380.

Re: Trouble deciding

My question back to you is, is the ten point new or used?

I personally would pick the 10 point as i hunt with a wicked ridge warrior. The reason i asked about the new or used is the Excalibur warranty is void to you since its used so if there was a issue you out of luck. Im not sure on how 10 points warranty is but i know new it is a good warranty.

If the warranty isnt a deciding factor that go test shoot both and see which one you like better.

Re: Trouble deciding

The Ten Point is a display model. Found a local dealer who sells display models for Ten Point. Get a real good price on the bow and equip it however you want. He's said the lifetime warranty is good.

Re: Trouble deciding

I have a turbo xlt. Had a Titan before that. No problems with either. Have shot excaluburs, I find them really loud and awkward. The compact limbs on the tenpoint are alittle easier to maneuver around an already cumbersome weapon. Either one you pick is not going to make the deer any deader.

Re: Trouble deciding

I have the Excalibur axiom, it has the WIDE limbs on it. With that being said it is a great crossbow, extremely accurate, and no need to ever go back to a shop for a new string/cables. The string can be changed in about 2 miniutes.

I have also owned a ten point, awesome, and very accurate also. My suggestion would be to go to a shop and handle/shoot both models and decide for yourself. Also, don't let excaliburs warranty worry you. As far as I have ever heard they pretty much have a no questions asked lifetime warranty. I sent a scope back to them for replacement last year and was sent a brand new one back without being asked anything!

Re: Trouble deciding

I shoot the turbo xlt2. Its a great tool. I like the fact that the stock butt is a little longer and shoulders well.

Re: Trouble deciding

Thanks for all the input. Ended up going with a turbo gt. Spent a little more than I wanted to but it's a pretty sweet bow. Being half the width of the 380 easier to cock and quieter all played into the decision. Plus it's made right over in Ohio.

Re: Trouble deciding

I have a Tenpoint Stealth for several years now and recently added a Turbo XLT II. You will be very happy with your choice but you did narrow it down to two very good options.
