Crossbow Scopes

Ok, here goes. I'm finally buying a Horton Storm Rdx Crossbow - and after watching some reviews that claim the scope on them doesn't adjust for the bow's IBO Speed, thus making it less accurate at distances.... Anyone else seen any problems like this? if so, what kind of Scope would you recommend?

Re: Crossbow Scopes

Nikon Bolt xr are what we use on our crossbows. You can go to Nikon's website using the Nikon spot on. Hope this helps.

Hawke MAP 1.5X5 with the speed dial. Reasonably priced, good quality, and you can adjust the scope to the speed of your set up. If you change your set up just a bit at any time, you can tweak the scope to bring your impact points right in line with the reticle.

The scope will handle velocity from high 200fps all the way to low 400 fps.

Re: Crossbow Scopes

My dad and I both use the Leupold Crossbones Crossbow scope on our Ten Points. It is a 2x7x33 scope with th speed ring for adjustment. It also comes with the Leupold Gold Ring Lifetime warranty.

Re: Crossbow Scopes

If you want to spend a bit more money, the Leupold Crossbones and Zeiss XB75 are what to look at. Both feature speed rings.

For a modest price, it is tough to beat the Hawke 1.5X5 with the speed ring.

Re: Crossbow Scopes

Go with the Hawke MAP 1.5X5 then. No use going any cheaper on such a nice bow, plus you will have the speed dail to tune the reticle to your speed.
