Barnett Vengeance vs Horton Fury

What's everyone's opinion on these two crossbows? I have the Horton Vision myself, but thinking of upgrading to the Vengeance.... any ideas?

Re: Barnett Vengeance vs Horton Fury

They don't make the Horton Fury any longer. If you find one, I would not buy it as there is no company left to back it up. The new Horton only bought the rights to the name.

I would opt for the Horton Storm over the Vengeance. The new Horton is backed by TenPoint which has exceptional customer service and the Storm has been a very reliable bow.

I own a Vengeance as well. Nice bow for sure, but between the two, I would rather hunt with the Storm. It is just a bit more refined.

Re: Barnett Vengeance vs Horton Fury

Guess it mostly comes down to price. I do like the look and feel of the Storm, but to me, the Vengeance feels good also. Though I admit, I have actually shot neither...
I'm just trying to decide which one to put on layaway once I sell my pistol. I've tried putting it up for trade on a Vengeance, but no one seems interested yet.... who knows.

WOW, while looking at the Storms, I noticed another bow next to them: it's a Tenpoint Rdx.... Looks just like the Storm, but a little smaller. And is rated 385fps which is 15fps faster than the Storm. And both are the same price! Anyone hear of these Tenpoint ones?

The TenPoint Nitro should be $600 more than the Storm. If it is marked the same price, you had better buy it before they realize the mistake.

Re: Barnett Vengeance vs Horton Fury

dpms, right you are. after looking it over yesterday I noticed that there were 2 price tags on it. one for $850 - the other was $1600..... of coarse they wouldn't give it to me for the $850 LOL. So I put a nice Horton Storm Rdx on layaway for $900. Put $500 down, so I should be picking it up in a couple weeks..... Can't wait to start shooting it!
