Winchesters new crossbow

Looks heavy. I'll get to see it in about two weeks. I should have a report when I get back from the ATA show.

I like that alot!! Can't wait to see the specs on it. I knew that Winchester was gonna come out with a archery line. I hope it is a success for them.

Re: Winchesters new crossbow

They look to have a heck of a compound bow lineup as well.

Yes, they sure do. some very impressive specs on them. I hope the camo is the color it shows in the pic. I like that camo! I've been considering having my Tornado dipped in snow camo.

Re: Winchesters new crossbow

I noticed that too. The forend looks like a hook to catch brush too. I hope they have a fully working version to shoot at the ATA show.

Re: Winchesters new crossbow

It looks modeled after the Tornado, but that won't get me leaving my Tornado by any means. In fact it may take 6' of dirt for that...looks like the changes they made (from the original Parker style) are for those that don't own a crossbow yet or have yet to use one. I see more "coolness" to catch a shoppers eye, than practicality in the deer woods.

Be interesting to hear who loud they are,the split limbs with sound supressers and the string stoppers likely help, but that free floating forearm has to be a vibration point, not sure why they would stop it like that, the back end of the forearm is the part i use the most on the Tornado when I hunker it down into my shoulder

Price range on them yet?

Re: Winchesters new crossbow

Word is that thier compound vertical bow lineup is far ahead of the crossbow line as far as production goes. It may be summer or early fall before the crossbows are available to the consumer.

I suspect that the production bow will have a foot stirrup and solid forearm. If the front end remains the same this bow will be 340fps+. Word is they will have three crossbow models ranging from $600-$900.

That is a camo that you will either love or hate. In my case that would be a big love it. I would be surprised though if that turned out to be the production pattern. That pattern is available along with some variations from custom dipping folks for those that may be interested.
