targets

What targets are you guys using for your crossbows? I have a bag target and a 3d deer for my compound bow, will these work for a crossbow as well or do I need a target specially designed for crossbows?

You can't bag a big one if your not out tryin

Re: targets

I use the BIGshot Archery, Ballistic 450 bag with my Hurricane. Works great at stopping it, Its just impossible at times to get the bolts out.

Re: targets

BuckFever, I would try any target you have. Most of them will work.

We worked with Bigshot archery on the issue of the arrows sticking in the targets. I've been told that problem has been solved.

I will say that the more you use them the better they get. Ours broke in after about 100 shots and became a two finger removal target. We have well over 5000 shots into it now. Still looks and works great.

Re: targets

The issue with bolts sticking hard in the bigshot targets has been resolved. I ordered the new ballistic 300 bag target (as per Arrowheads advice) and the bolts pull out with two fingers shot from my Parker Tornado.
Great target so far.

Thats great news. Now, would anyone be interested in a BigShot Balistic 450 bag on a trade for a softer bag? I have no use for it as its too tough to remove the bolts.

Re: targets

Thrillbilly if you are using carbon arrows take a bar of soap and rub up the bolt about 3 inches all the way around it . You will find this will help alot with bolt removal

Thanks Gizmo, just tried it out. Worked a touch better but I still had to lay the bag flat, stand on it and pull and jerk with two hands. Its crazy! (edit update) At this point, I am not real happy with this bag. My daughter just fired two into it and she cant remove them at all. Time to find another

Re: targets

The Bigshot ballistic 300 was $54.99 with $5.95 for shipping. Had it at my doorstep in two days.
