This week or next?

I have two days to hunt counting weekend. Do I go Monday and Tuesday or wait til the following week when it's colder.....or do 1 and 1?

Re: This week or next?

I'm in for the last week of the season. It does not have anything to do with timing the rut or anticipated weather. These were the only 3 days I could line up where I did not have either work or family obligations! Good Luck whenever you decide to hunt.

Re: This week or next?

Its a toss up, bud. Any day for the next two weeks can be on fire or dead.

I prefer the first week for action, the second week for quality but less action. Depends on what you are looking for and all of it depends on weather and some luck.

I support all hunters, regardless of weapon or technique!

Re: This week or next?

The 2015 rut will peak during the first week of November, and bow benders on Halloween will scare the kids off the front porch as they pay off the little trick or treaters, and fumble with frantic phone calls and texts to their buddies, "It's on!"... all between visits of little goblins, skeletons, vampires, ghosts, and mummies, and princesses.

Last year, as predicted the rut peaked during the second week of November as our trail cams proved that the best bucks were on their feet in the daytime ... finally!

Re: This week or next?

My buddy kept a hunting journal since he was 12.He is now 56.He said over 90% of the bucks he shot were within 3 days before or after halloween. He very rarely goes a year without a buck.I can only remember 2 years he didn't.
