Crossbow hitting high

Parker Terminator with Hawke Map scope, factory setup, front end has been replaced twice but hunted with it last year without issue. Using same bolts as previously, in practicing my bolts are hitting high and the scope can't be adjusted any lower. The first line, which should be the 20 yd reticle, is hitting at 32 yds. Nothing seems to be loose and I'm hitting a 2" circle with 2 bolts with broad heads at 40 yds. Any ideas?

You.may have to shim your scope? I have a Horton that does the same thing. I made a shim from a plastic pop bottle and it worked like a charm.

Re: Crossbow hitting high

I've heard of the shim idea but why would it hit much higher when nothing else has changed? Is the scope bad?

Re: Crossbow hitting high

I would center the scope first and then try shimming....Rusty

Re: Crossbow hitting high

I would check and maybe remount the scope. I had mine a touch off on the rail, and the same issue with zeroing. The jaw of the ring wasn't quite squared on the rail.
