Shooting In Period

Is there a shooting in period for Xbows? I know I needed about a hundred shots when I replaced my bow strings. Just curious for this new Xbow I get in a few weeks.

Re: Shooting In Period

I like to put at least 40-50 through it before hunting. I often leave new bows cocked a full day as well to help settle everything in.

I support all hunters, regardless of weapon or technique!

Re: Shooting In Period

Basically about the same for crossbows as vertical bows. I like to put at least a 100 shots thru it. Seems like most limb issues or other things will pop up during the first 100 or so shots if they are going to.

Traditions only last if you pass them down to your kids!
