Recruit

I bought my son a Recruit and sometimes when it is cocked the safety will lock into place and you can't get it to fire without taking the cock rope and pulling back on the string to disengage it. Any one heard of this or know what is causing it?

Re: Recruit

Are you cocking it with the safety in the fire position?

Re: Recruit

The anti dry fire locks the safety out of the "fire" position. You may not be pushing the arrow past the anti dry fire device. It could also be that your arrow is the wrong diameter. Make sure you are shooting the proper arrows.

Also,
It's very likely your anti dry fire has broken or is messed up. I'd swap the trigger box out for a new one. Have your dealer give Barnett a call and they will fix you up.

Re: Recruit

Thanks for the replies. We are using the arrows that came with the bow. It started doing this about a month after we got it. I am going to take it into the dealer.
