Barnett Stirup

Hello all,

I just purchased a Barnett Crossbow that needs a stirrup. I'm not 100% sure, but I think it is a Wildcat from all the pictures I have seen. Does anyone know where I could purchase a stirrup for one of these? I went to Gander Mountain and they didn't have anything that would work. Any help would be greatly appreciated. if it helps this is very similar to the crossbow I bought. Although this one looks like it has a stirrup on it.

Thanks

Mike

Re: Barnett Stirup

Call Barnett directly. They don't seem to want to ship parts to dealers.(at least not to this dealer)

Re: Barnett Stirup

Thanks for the reply. I will definitely give them a call.

I hate spending too much as I bought the bow for $40.00

OK They don't sell them anymore. Do you know of any other alternatives? Lady at Gander said there is a nylon strap that can be used, but they don't carry it.

Re: Barnett Stirup

A wrist strap for a regular compound bow might work. Disclaimer: Keep in mind that you are going to be doing this at your own risk. I have a feeling that is the reason Gander doesn't carry them.

Re: Barnett Stirup

Arrowhead thanks for the advice. I am now kicking around the idea of using a thick nylon rope with a couple good knots.

Something I forgot to say earlier. I will only be playing with this. I bought it cause the person needed $40.00 and wouldn't let me just give it to them. So the amount of "pulls" isn't going to be that great.

Thanks again

Re: Barnett Stirup

You could check out a local harness shop. I would imagine they can set you up with something that will work too.
