Youth crossbow

I'm looking for a light youth crossbow for my boys who are 11 and 8. I need some help as I know nothing about them. Seems all have mixed reviews that I've read about. I don't want to spend more than 500 or so. Thanks!!

Re: Youth crossbow

The Barnett Raptor is a good deal. I personally love my Excalibur and would highly recommend them, but for the money you are looking to spend this is a good deal. My step-dad just got one at Dicks and it is little and lite and pretty accurate. $280 + tax for the whole hunting package. I thought of getting one for my daughter since I already have a compound for her, but since she'll be 3 months tomorrow I think I've got time.

Re: Youth crossbow

I bought my son a barnett rc-150 and it's great. Has an adjustable stock as well and shoots great. I'm not sure if they make them anymore as I found this one on ebay and it already has 28 bids.

Re: Youth crossbow

They have to of had to stop making them. There's 2 on all of ebay. This one is buy it now. You won't go wrong with this crossbow. My son is about 85 pounds and will be 11 in February and he's been shooting his since he was 8. They weigh almost nothing and seem like a toy until you shoot an arrow out of it.
