Son's doe

Hello All. My son got this doe on our Friday evening hunt. A guy set up and was in a tree stand 15 yards from our blind on private property. We just moved to a different spot to avoid a confrontation. We set up behind a blow down that we used as some concealment and a rest for him. At 6:00 this doe appeared 20 yds. away. I had to get her to stop for his shot. He did the rest. After watching her run off a large spike appeared from the direction she ran. He already had us pegged due to our excitement. The crossbow wasn't cocked anyway and we watched him run off. We found her piled up about 50yds. away. Fun evening with my son.
