Welcome another young hunter to the brotherhood!

http://i771.photobucket.com/albums/x...ps64ccdaa0.jpg

My son Jacob who is 6 years old took his first deer yesterday while hunting in Allegheny County. The day started at 5 am and I didn't need to wake him he was waking me up. We got in the car and he was a chatter box. Lots of questions but all hunting questions. We saw about 15 on our way there and I had a feeling. Especially since I had my oldest son Buckie (whom many of you have seen on here many times) at the same place the night before and we saw 7 but no shot. As the morning went on he was getting a little discouraged (only 1 hour) saying there were no deer there. At 745 I told him his brother got all of his deer from now until 815. Sure enough 5 minutes later I see the doe coming from the left. He grabbed the crossbow and got settled. I asked if he saw her and he said no I looked at him and said move your head back. She was 15 yards... he moved his head back and said I see her. She started walking and I said when I stop her shoot. I made the ever TV bleat she stopped and he shot. I hear the whack but I thought he missed her! I see another deer coming and it is a 5 pt... He says I want to shoot him too I said buddy you cant at this point he is crying because he thought he missed. 5pt walks away and then a 130 class 10pt walks out! It was heart wrenching to see these two buck just standing there looking at us. So they walk away I stood up and look to the left. WHITE BELLY I said to him he said what daddy, I said buddy you got her she is right down there. He instantly stops crying and hugs me and says thank you daddy now lets go get her. I said wait a minute lets get our stuff ready and go find the bolt. We did find the bolt covered in blood sticking in the tree right behind where she was standing. He said that is going on my wall (the bolt). So we get to the deer and I put my pack down and I look at him and he already has the war paint on his face. I said who told you to do that... he says my brother! It was a great morning and now have another hunter in the family. He then had to call Pap and Papa as well as his uncles, cousins, brother and Mommy. You would have thought he just shoot a world record and you can tell by the smile he was on top of the world.
