Re: Senior AR

Trolling ?

A. Seniors can't see.
B. They can't take the cold because their blood-flow is
plum shot.
C. They're grumpy and many won't take an inferior Buck just
because they don't want anything handed to them.

I think your Buck are fairly safe from the old guys. You gots more to worry about from a group of 15 year olds that are full of wizz and vinegar.

You are aware they've been dropping their antlers, right?

Must say that's a new one anyhow. Making wildlife management decisions based on what is captured on trailcams.

Re: Senior AR

Here is my idea
M-18 no ar
18-30 nothing less then 10 points
30-40 nothing less then 8 points
40-50 nothing lees than 7 points
50-60 nothing less then 6 points
60-65 nothing less then 5 points
65-death no ar

Seem stupid. Well it's no stupider than chopping another group off AR. Some might say why punish the elderly. I say why punish the guys trying to mix a little hunting into work, family, kids sports, etc.

I am against AR in general, but if we must have it then it needs to apply to everyone

Here is my idea. AR set at 6 inch or better spikes or anything with branched antlers 6 inches or larger. If you tag a 10 point or better you can only hunt Doe the following years until you tag out 2 baldies and then you are back in the mix. All ages except MY. MY are only allowed to harvest Doe until they pass the HTC and purchase a license or age 16 which ever comes first.

Buck without antlers must always raise thier left front hoof when feeding in front of trail cams. Waugh!

We put a brass rail around the bottom of the feeder like they used to have on bars in saloons. The manly ones always put their foot up on the rail.

Re: Senior AR

If AR's are lifted for seniors (which I will be in a few years) then we might as well lift them for everyone.
