WE CAN AS SPORTSMAN STOP THIS

i've hunted center co a few years and this year was the worst very few deer. but there are dmap sighns l over the mtn. we need to stop shooting does in the northern co's for at least a year and then do a study and maybe shut it down longer.
i'm not sure what the game comission is trying to get the herd down to but its low in our area.

Re: WE CAN AS SPORTSMAN STOP THIS

Its been hashed over and over on here. Not all areas are the same whether you choose to believe that or not. Read ip on things no way will it ever get like it was before not going to happen. Calling for less doe to be killed isnt going to help either.

And if its state forest the PGC isnt Dmaping it the DCNR is. They have their goals on forest health and are simply doing what their foresters and biologists are recomending.

Re: WE CAN AS SPORTSMAN STOP THIS

when i was a kid many camps would buy doe licences and not use them and also post NO DOE HUNTING sign's. you cant tell me if you stop shooting them on a 1000 + acres your not going to make a difference for every doe shot you killed 3 deer

Re: WE CAN AS SPORTSMAN STOP THIS

Do a little research on here and the PGC's websight. Until the forest can sustain what dere there are the herd will continue to be taken down. As of lately the trend is reversing somewhat and stabilkizing now. It wont ever get to the point it was before to many stakeholders wont allow it. Your looking at the area you hunt go 1 mile down the road might be completely opposite deer everywhere. Have to look at the feed and habitat that will tell what shape the herd is in.
