Have Allegheny County doe tag, will travel

I'm a 40 yo hunter who is an otherwise responsible member of society and needs a place to fill an Allegheny County doe tag - crossbow or shotgun. I find the game lands to be a bit over-hunted for my taste.

Do you mean a 2B antlerless tag ? Pretty sure Allegheny doesn't have a specific county tag, and Allegheny Co is in WMU 2B........ nless I'm unaware of somethin' ?

That said, you can use your 2B tag ANYWHERE in the 2B WMU. Doesn't have to be Allegheny Co.

2A-Wash. Co.

If he wants to use a shotgun it's Allegheny Co. only.

Use the maps on the PGC website to find "hunter access properties". You still need to ask permission, but there is more in Allegheny Co. than you would think.

I believe you can only hunt with a slug gun with in the boarders of Allegheny Co. with a 2B doe tag.You can not use a slug gun in Washington, Butler or Westmoreland Co`s. with a 2B doe tag.

Don`t know of any places to around Northern Allegheny Co., but I do know some in the Southern part of the County.....

Agree....there are many properties in 2b and Allegheny cty open to anyone, but you have to put your time in and research....enough that I compiled a 1/2 inch binder of properties to hunt.

My son lived in Waynesburg for a while and had a lot of good access to property leased by gas companies. Just had to contact them for a permit.

Keep in mind that anything around Waynesburg is NOT in 2B....

Take the time to show some respect for the animals we hunt
