Interesting read on Whitetail subspecies.

LINK

I don't know but when I see a whitetail, whether in PA, VT, Nebraska, Wyoming, or Washington I just see a whitetail. Nothing more and nothing less. Now Even I notice the differences when I see a whitetail in Texas or a southern state and of course in Canada but I didn't realize there were all these subspecies. There are three different subspecies just in Wyoming and they all look the same to me! Maybe I need better attention to detail.

Re: Interesting read on Whitetail subspecies.

Use the PA species decider factor.

Grey or brown? According to a recent lawsuit on deer, these are the two types in PA.

Is your position a short term gain - or a long term loss? Separate the issues.

I'm still trying to figure out which one scrapes the bark off of trees with their hooves!

Bigfoot saw me but nobody believes him!
