Kielbasa

Anyone know of a good place to get Kielbasa around the Johnstown area? Coming up the end of June, and from what I understand, the people I used to buy from have closed shop.No good makers of it here in Florida. The big store stuff just isn't the same. Thanks in advance.

Re: Kielbasa

There is this little Polish deli on Chestnut street in Union, NJ [used to work in the area]...Just south of Rt 22.

I used to serve it at deer camp.

Re: Kielbasa

How much are you interested in? I have a friend in the Leechburg area that has a meat business and makes the best kb that I have ever had, usually only at Christmas and Easter, made at his shop from the "oink" to the plate hand me down family recept from his great grandfather in Poland. The BEST you will ever eat. Let me know and I'll check and see if he will make a batch.

Re: Kielbasa

Czerw's in the Port Richmond section of Philly. 3rd generation Poles, make it and smoke it right there. Really old school store, best I ever had, plus nice family business. All authentic, plus tons of other old world Polish goodies. My wife and family are Polish, and they love it.

Located right off of I-95, 3370 Tilton St., Philadelphia, PA.

I waited in line a LLLOOOONNNNGGGGG time, the Thrusday before Easter to get Kielbasa from there. And it was worth it.
