Our close call

Sunday morning on Linglestown Rd at 0400, on our way home from Church Pascha Service, a close call. Just about 3/4 mile from Rt 322, my wife driving HER Buick, the only other car on the road was a police SUV, in front of us. Suddenly the officer stops and puts on all the emergency lights. Why wife hits the brakes and stops. Between us and the police SUV a doe is running across the road at full speed. If we hadn't stop then and now that old bag of a deer would have broad sided us. Thanks to the quick thinking and sharp eye of that officer no harm done. My wife dropped off a thank you card to the Watch Captian for that officer. (If that Buick would have got damaged, no deer in Linglestown would be safe!)
