Eateries near Prince Gallitzin

Going to Glendale for a basketball tournament this weekend and was wondering if there are any restraunts/places to eat in the area. Thanks.

Squirrel, it's what's for dinner.

There are not very many places open right now is the main problem. IF you turn left out of the parking lot of the school and follow it for a few miles down there is two restaurants right at the intersection of route 53. The one is more like a diner type has good food the other I have not ate there in many years. Uncle Phils general store is on 53 and has some pretty good food as well. These are the only places that I can think of that are open and close to that area.

That's pretty much it, although I think there might be a sandwich/pizza shop in Coalport(left on 53). Uncle Phils, (which would be a right turn onto 53) has pretty good subs, pizza, and chicken. None of the places mentioned are very big, so you might spend some time waiting if alot of people leave the school at the same time to eat. Depending on how much time you have, Altoona, and Ebensburg are both about 30 minutes away, and they both have bigger selection of restaurants.

If you stay on Rt 53, that takes you into Ashville, there is a gas station, Joe Lynns, that sells good food. Maybe 25 mins away from Glendale.

was just there a few weeks ago for kids wrestling tournament. Sir Barney's is just down the road and open. We decided to pack a cooler full of grub instead.
