Nickel Plate Steam Engine vid

The ol' 765 went past my house today so I got a video of it. It was a heck of an experience to see that kind of engineering up close from so long ago

Awesome video. Thanks for sharing.

The sleep of a laborer is sweet, while the rich man tosses and turns, worried about his possessions.

AWESOME X100!!! Love hearing and seeing those iron horses high stepping down the track. Where abouts was this that she went through and would you happen to know where she is headed next?

Honesty is my only excuse.

Thanks Diyasub. Bummed I missed her at the Enola yard. Hopefully they bring her around again sometime. I would love to have my 5 yr old see it. She loves trains!

Honesty is my only excuse.

I'm jealous. I wish had got to see it. I was thinking of driving over to see it, but couldn't make it.

Here is an excellent video of Nickel Plate 765 called 'Steam in the Valley."

I wonder if I could get a whistle like that for my econobox car!

Re: Nickel Plate Steam Engine vid

great videos. My Dad was RR Cop, I rode the train to my Gramps house in the Catskills every summer. Dad took me had to watch the last steam locomotive go thru Rutherford..I forget the year late fifties or early sixties... Late 60s I worked on track gangs for three summers.

Seeing the videos I remember what I took for granted many years ago...

Re: Nickel Plate Steam Engine vid

I saw the train in Lilly PA, he was making his way from the Tyrone area yesterday and the tracks are 100 yards from my house. I talked to people from NY and even Canada who made the trip just to see the engine.
