Re: life after people

Yea, it's dumb...

I really like these kinds of shows, but there are way too many variables. If you look at the basic concept I can see what they are driving for, but they worked off of very specific actions and locations.

Also, they didn't address all of the millions of bodies that would be lying around. That would play a factor as well.

And another thing...

It would make a good drinking tv show. Take a shot each time they say Life After People. It drove me nutz each time they said it because t was so often...

Re: life after people

you do relise that in under a year any evidence of a human body would be gone other than bones.

Re: life after people

Exactly. What effect do you think all those rotting bodies will have on the buildings.

Also depends on conditions. Mummies are fully intact and thousands of years old. Yes, that is an extream condition that they are preserved under, but a variable noe the less.

I guess what I'm saying is the tv show takes to specific of an approach for something that has thousands of variables. I just didn't like how it was set up, that's all. Now, there have been other shows done for TEOTWAWKI. But they have been generalized.

Re: life after people

I think the coal company or the government bought most of the people out, but as far as I know the coal is still burning and a few (4 or 5 households) die hards atll live there.

Well, sometimes you eat the bear, and sometimes, well, he eats you, so the Dude must abide!
