Sons demo derby

My son Cory did the demo derby at the fair this year. His first time doing it. Did well but dad messed it up for him. You can move the battery inside to the passengers side floor. Did that no problem. I made the battery cables to short didnt leave any slack in them he got hit and it popped the terminal off. He couldnt get it back in time. I felt terrible for him. Cost him a couple more places maybe. Forgot to add his car number is 81.

Re: Sons demo derby

What kind of a father are you to allow your son to partake in such a event......

Just kidden.........That brings back memorys of my first and only attempt at the Derby, and I also had battery isuues........that was about 8...no wait....maybe 12.....awww schucks.....guess it was about 34 years ago at Troy Fair.........

Some problems (batterys) never change.......I'm sure he had fun just the same.......

Re: Sons demo derby

LOL I look at it this way. I would rather have him doing things like this that I can be involved in and knowing what he is doing. Yea Buzz things somehow stay the same . Lessons learned for next year thats for sure altho he is talking about doing the figure 8 races and wants me to as well. See what happens.

Re: Sons demo derby

I have family who always enter cars in the Clarion Co Fair demo's. Those young bucks sure have a lot of fun, especially when they go against each other in the final heat.

For those who fought for it, Life has a flavor the protected will never know.
