US citizens arrested for easter eggs at border

Yesterday it was on the news that two men from Washington State were arrested at the Canada border and jailed by US authorities for bringing back some chocolate eggs as gifts. They spent the night in jail and went to court the next day where charges were dropped. Turns out, unknown to the men, that particular candy is not legal in the US because it has small toys inside that a kid may choke on. There is a use of our tax money, jail chocolate egg smugglers and allow tens of thousands if illegals to cross our border with impunity.

When you are up to your butt in alligators, it is hard to remember your intent was to drain the swamp. Stay focused!

Were they Wonka Eggs?

But seriously, my cousin works for the USBP and a soon to be ex-brother in law works for ICE. Some of the stuff they have told me about what they deal with is uttlerly stupid.

My cousin sits in a truck for 8 hours a whack, watching miles of prarie in MT on the Canadian border, and it seems the only border violator are the accasional jackrabbit ot antelope.

Well, sometimes you eat the bear, and sometimes, well, he eats you, so the Dude must abide!

Just another reason I will never go to Canada again! It's kinda like Maryland, only bigger! Don't ask!

I've had that chocolate, and it's well worth the risk.

I could only imagine if Ted Nugent brought those eggs across the border. It would be well worth spending our tax dollars then.
