Jeremiah Johnson

I've been meaning to see this movie for a while as I'm a big fan of John Milius and recently a poster hear mentioned it in talking about the idea of Traditional Deer Country. So I rented it from Amazon, sadly it's non-HD and non-anamohprihc. But I started watching a few minutes and I really started to enjoy it and the cinematography. On the plus side a dirt cheap Spec Ed Blu-ray (with Redford, Milius, and Pollack commentary recorded separately) so I just going to pick that up as it seems like a movie that the visuals are a huge part of it. Soundtrack is nice so far too. I've been told that this is the movie that made everyone get Hawken's rifles in the 1970s.

Another good line is when he looks at the bear and says " Well do ya feel lucky punk?"

Nice, Milius has written some terrific dialogue and downright classics of film history.

That's where I stopped last night. Loved the line. Only thing us Redford just doesn't seem like the right build for the role,
