Store In Cool Dry Place

That probably doesn't mean in the oven.
There goes their security deposit!
Guess bear spray cans will need to have a new warning on them.
"No one was injured, but residents of the home evacuated while it was aired out. The can exploded in the oven as it was preheating. It’s unclear why the can was in the oven.
Three young men who live at the residence declined comment."
That should be an interesting story!

A couple of years ago I was going on vacation in another state. I was in sight of the hotel in traffic and two cans came rolling out from under a truck on the highway, I missed one, but could not miss the other one. It turned out to be a can of joint sealer, it erupted and sprayed the side and entire back of my new Jeep. I worked until after mid night that evening and started at daylight the next morning and spent another 4 hours to get most of it off.....

In the "should have known better" Or the "what the heck was I thinking" category:

One year, many years ago, after the end of flintlock season I was getting my gear ready to put away. I normally emptied the 5 or 6 speedloaders I carried by dumping the powder into a loose pile outside and throwing a match on it. Made a nice flash and woosh, and that was it. That one particular year, I also had a load of papers to burn (you can see where this is going) so I just dumped the powder into a paper bag and tossed it in the burn barrel with the paper, thinking since it's on the top of the pile it would just flash as it always did. I lit the burn barrel and stepped back (only smart move I made at this point) and waited for the flash. Well it flashed alright, but instead of a flash and woosh sound, I had the sound of a 55 gallon sized Roman Candle going off! There was burning newspaper shooting 30 feet in the air!

Needless to say, I never did that again. But I may have one or two other fire stories that fit the above categories.......
