TV antenna booster

Lost several stations from my TV. Anyone have any suggestions on a good TV antenna booster or trouble shooting? I do not have cable.

Good night Chesty, wherever you are......

If things were working before and just went away, itís probably either you antenna or coax connecting the antenna. Check all you connections and make sure they are tight. Get some dielectric grease and put on the connections. Does the antenna show corrosion.if all else fails, replace the antenna and coax. Get an antenna with an amplifier.

Good luck

Do search on youtube on homemade TV antenna with PVC and copper wire. Works great.

We had an extended range "leaf" antenna that worked great. Amazon has a ton of options with good reviews. just pick your price point.

Did ya try sending the wife up on the roof to spin it around while you yell up to her when the stations re-appear?

The FCC has had a lot of stations changing broadcast frequencies lately. It seems to be called a 'repack' and has affected a number of stations in our area. A lot of times all you have to do is re-scan so you TV can find the stations on the new frequency. They will still show up as the same channel number.

Check out the information in this thread...

You may want to go back several pages but there is a lot of over the air information and help there.

we cut the cable cord about two or three years ago and went with a Mohu Leaf Antenna, the expensive one, about a 60 plus mile range. we also have Hulu and Netflix. serves all our needs.
try re-scanning, we had to do it several times because of networks changing things but we get all the channels we need (23)

Mohu Leaf you say. I need to look into this.

Yep, I too turned in all my stuff to Comcast and now just do Netflix / Hulu, but I do have on another TV that had about 8 stations that now have been reduced to 3. Just want to have that as an option. Mostly watched "Decades" on it.

Without an amp I only get 10-2 and 10-2 at the cabin. with it I get a lot more. I have gone thru 2 since the digital changeover. First one was Radio shack and the latest was a Wineguard which was working fine this spring but not now...the dampness must not be good for them
