Brings back great memories.

BTW, these made great "Zip" guns. Couple rubber bands, part of a car antenna and a small screw in the hammer face........... And NO, I did not ever make one or shoot one.
But I did stay at a Holiday Inn, or was it a La Quinta?

Ah, yes. No cap gun, no problem. Used to go to the 5 and 10 Saturday morning after going thru the bar next doors trash cans for .5 return soda bottles. Buy a strip of penny dot candy and a couple rolls of "ammo". Sit on the curb out front and bang away with a rock at the ammo. Always somebody upstairs at the bar hollerin out the window to "cut it out" Sleepin off a hangover I Guess.

Loved the cap guns but when I ran out of caps I just pointed at my target and yelled, BANG!. Same effect and it was a lot cheaper too.

Another trick we did with caps was to take pliers and put the roll of caps in the jaws, go under a bridge and just bang the pliers on the ground. This set the caps off and It was pretty loud.

Itís funny until somebody gets hurt, then itís hilarious

I remember the caps you could stick on a spring loaded bullet in the 50's. Think they were called greenie stick um caps. I learned you could stick them on your finger and strike them on your bedroom wall. Did it twice before i got a good arse whippen from my dad.
