Life is a risk. Sometimes you get the odds.......sometimes not.

The risk of getting the flu at very young and older age people is a bigger risk, I will continue getting the shots. I also would take anything that comes from a publication called "The Natural News". Sounds like the same nonsense people are buying into and not getting their kids measles, chicken pox and mumps vaccine.

Comparing levels in drinking water to the flu shot isn't relevant. People consume large quantities of water throughout the year, but get one very small dose of flu vaccine once per year.

I just got mine on Saturday at the Giant Eagle storeís pharmacy counter. Insurance pays for it and store gives you $5 off your next grocery order. If I could get enough vaccinations ( flu, shingles, pneumonia ) I could eat for free.

Iíve been getting the shots for years, but did still end up with the flu ( real bad ) in the spring of 2008. I was told the shots given that year were not effective for that yearís strain.

I should probably get one but about 40 years ago I did get one and was sicker than a dog. Some people died that year from the shots. I said never again.

That "you can get a mild version of the flu with the shot" is for real. After I got my pacemaker and brand spankin' new aortic valve they were pretty specific that flu shots needed to be in my future, or I might not have a very long one.

I get the shot each year, get mildly ill for three or four days, and live happily ever after.

I never get one because i never get sick. I got one last year and got so sick I didn't go hunting. I'll go back to not getting them.

When my son was one year old in 1974 Maw and I had the flu so bad we thought we would have to die before we could get better. We were so down and out her mother had to take care of us for us for a week.
After that episode we get a flu shot every year and hadn't had it since. She has an appointment tomorrow with our doctor( the hottie!) for another problem so while we're there we'll both get stuckeded!

I eat one or two grapefruit a day from about December 1 through mid March Since I started that 25 years ago, I rarely gt sick, rarely even get a cold. BUT, I now have a respiratory condition that seems to be getting worse, so I'll be getting a flu shot this weekend. Make sure the person giving the shot knows what they are doing. My Mrs. got a flu shot at her job last week and the dumbbell gave shots to several people into the shoulder joint and now the place is facing several worker's comp cases from folks who can't lift with that arm. A nurse should know better than to do that.
