I was at work when the first plane hit, news spread very fast and we all congregated into the big conference room where they put the TV News cast up on the screen. When the second one hit, you knew it was a bad day.

But today I was honored to attend the presentation ceremony of a Tunnels-to-Towers.org Smart home presented to one of the local boys( Sgt. Adam Hartswick ) who lost both legs to an IED in Afghanistan. Present were not only local Pols, but also NYFD Reps and Corporate Sponsor reps who built the house. It was quite moving.

NEVER FORGET 9/11

I was at a job audit site of a multinational corporation. My division lost a fellow agent, Dave Bernard who was on his way to work at our IRS offices at 7 World Trade Center and was hit by falling debris. Dave was critically injured & died 3 months later. A very sad day. https://livingmemorial.voicesofsepte...w-bernard-dave

Next time you walk past a Policeman or Firefighter in the coffee shop, market , mall or wherever! Stop shake their hand and thank them for their service.
We take so much for Granted.

I was the CACO for a Marine from Scranton and that day was his funeral. His unit was up from Lejeune and I was the liaison providing support for their stay. When I got a call that a plane hit the trade center I was thinking a small piper cub or something. The second and third call told the story. The fourth call recalled all Marines from that unit. We had a military flight land at Avoca to pick them up. All other flights were grounded but these guys were in the air headed to NC. This same platoon was with the first on the ground on 7 Oct. I met them again at Cherry Point 4 Oct for our flight. One funeral detail I will never forget. Waugh!

AR is only a pacifier. You will never grow if it's not in your genes.
