Am I old or wise

Just got done driving on route 283 where conditions were snowy and slick. I'm in a three-quarter ton pick up truck four-wheel-drive going 65. I'm getting passed by women in two door sports cars and lots of other 2 Wheel Dr. vehicles. Is it that I'm old or wise? Or is this next generation just nuts? Unbelievable the amount of stupid people. I came up on a PennDOT truck plowing. And stayed behind him . Mean while 2 Wheel Dr. cars whizzing by him like nothing. Reminds me that when I get home I need to remind my kids about driving in snow.

When they spin out, bang up their car, possibly injure others, get loaded into the ambulance, go to the hospital, pay the doctor bills, miss time from work, call the insurance company, pay the deductible, go to the body shop, rent a car and say to themselves, "That's the last time I do that," they will realize going too fast on a slick highway wasn't a good idea.

W hen I was a Trooper I investigated many accidents that were caused by stupidity, most of them got ticketed for exceeding a safe speed under existing conditions. Snow didn't seem to slow them down..

just having fun.

some folks remember how to drive in the snow and know their limitations. then there are folks like you encountered that are just going to have to learn the hard way. hopefully with out suffering personal injury to themselves or anyone else.

I'm watching NBC10 news and there are multiple crashes on the SureKill Expressway in the Conshohocken, Gulph Mills and Gladwynne area.

I'd guess there are a lot more accidents that aren't being reported.
