All I had to do was take a copy of my DD214 to the Recorder of Deeds Office along with my drivers license. They copied and stamped the document, took a photo of me and made an ID. The front of the laminated card says "Chester County Veteran ID"; then there is your branch of service followed by your name. On the reverse is a paragraph about the certification of the card. I do not know if all counties have this or if the process and the cards are the same. It would be nice if this were something done at the state level. Oh, and they gave me a list of establishments that are onboard with veterans discounts.
