The do not call list

Does it mean anything?

I'm on the list with both the cell and the landline. Yet I still get calls on both phones. I've asked for company names and get hung up on. I've redialed the number on a couple of occassions only to get someone who claims it is a private number not a business(who knows). Normally I let the machine pick up(cell if I don't know number I don't answer) but I have people that I need to talk to now(Dr's, medical billing people and the like)

Any ideas.

Re: The do not call list

Unfortunately today's technology allows the solicitor to mask their true number and show up as a number in your local dialing area.

We are on the do not call list and it is meaningless, even on cell phones. The biggest offenders we get are alarm security companies and people claiming to be from police and fire organizations collecting for disabled and orphans.
on my cell I have everyone I want to talk to picture, if it comes up as a number or restricted it will not get answered.

My ability to remember lyrics from songs of the 60's far exceed my ability to remember why I walked into the kitchen

I don't answer either if I don't recognize the number.

Re: The do not call list

As I recall, non profit organizations are not bound by the do not call list. That's how all the political calls get through I believe.

Don't take yourself so seriously.......no one else does....

Re: The do not call list

I don't get a lot of the political calls right now , but am getting lots of credit card calls, different phone/tv plans and I must have won 20 cruises in the past 2 months LOL.
