WW II photo restoration
I have 3 x photos of my dad from his torpedo armory school in New Port, RI from @ 1942. The photos are formal shots of various graduating classes with, I assume, instructors as well as other sailors. They are still in the original cardboard mailing tubes and have my grandmothers mailing address. There is some fraying and minor tears along the edges but they are in pretty good shape otherwise. I guess probably because the paper they used was some really heavy duty stuff. So my question is; does anyone know where I can take / send these to have them professionally unrolled and preserved? I can take care of having them matted and mounted locally but I need help relative to having them flattened and preserved. Thanks in advance.
Good night Chesty, wherever you are......
