Handgun Scope?

Thinking about putting a scope on my 44 Mag Ruger Super Redhawk. Shooting some hot loads with heavy recoil. Any suggestions for a decent handgun scope?

Re: Handgun Scope?

leupold by far!!!! not even worthy of discussion..i have tried them all and ruined them all....EXCEPT Luepold! the 460 and 500 give a real test to any scope.

i like my Warne mounts as well

I agree. The Leupold VX3 2.5x8 is what I have on 44 Mag. Taurus Ragging Bull.

Re: Handgun Scope?

I have 2 Burris handgun scopes, one is a fixed 4 power, the other is a fixed 2.5 power......at one time or another they have both been on top of my .454 Casull shooting 300gr. loads.......neither scope has suffered any effects from it at all.....

Re: Handgun Scope?

I have had a Burris fixed 4X on my Ruger Redhawk for many years without any trouble at all.

Re: Handgun Scope?

Thanks guys. After posting the question on various forums the general consensus has been the Leupold VX-3 2.5 X 8. If I decide to take the plunge and purchase a scope I probably will go with the Leupy.
