tri star shotguns

I am looking to purchase an autoloading shotgun that my kids and
My wife can shoot that won't break the bank, I have come across the tri star
Youth model 20 gauge. I was wondering if anyone had experience with these guns
and if not what other guns/ manufacturers would you suggest?

Re: tri star shotguns

I won a triStar 20 gauge semi a few years ago at a RGS banquet and I gotta say I love ours. Light and shoots great, it is not a youth model but all my kids and wife shoot it nicely.

We have several big family gatherings in the summer and each one includes a clay thrower, a ton of clays and just about everyone there taking their turn at shooting with all sorts of shotguns. The TS 20 gets all kinds of different loads put thru it on those days from 6's to light trap loads to handloads and it has never failed too cycle and breaks more than not.

We don't hunt birds near as much as we should anymore, figuring my son went to nationals for trap last year, but if we did I think my kids would fight over this one. TWO THUMBS UP from me.

My daughter may shoot trap as well this year because of that gun (it sparked interest)... , although she likely will use a club trap gun on the line, that gun opened the door.

Re: tri star shotguns

It's not a semi auto but I love my TriStar Setter ST O/U 12 gauge. I use it for trap and pheasants and have no issues.

Winchester M70 XTR Featherweight .30-06
Marlin 336CS .30-30
Beretta A300 Outlander 12 ga.
Mossberg International Silver Reserve II 12 ga.
