I keep saying that I'm gonna mount a scope on my Anaconda. Which do you prefer, scoped or open sights when you are hunting with them?

Scoped. I do most of my hunting with a handgun, the scoped Super Redhawk. I love than handgun. It does have its limitations as you are not going to be able to snap it up quick and get a shot off.

Last year I picked up the Super Blackhawk for those rare occasions when I do hunt with a rifle. If I'm sitting on post, or walk and stop and a deer or bear presents itself within 50 yards, I hope to use the SBH to take the shot.

What model scope do you have on your SRH? I have the same gun. Picked it up to use on bear drives.

The scope is a Bushnell Trophy 2-6x that I've had on the Ruger ever since I bought it way back when. I can usually hold a 3" group at 100 yards from a rest. I'll get a few more range trips under my belt before bear and deer season gets here. The 10-ring is 3" in diameter and the 9-ring is 6" diameter.

What kind of grips are on the super blackhawk? I like them.

It's a Hogue Monogrip about $25.
