Slugs for 20 gauge full choke?

I know ive been told not to use slugs for full choke.But my dad had to buy 25 slugs for 20 gauge.and since we bought them im not sure if i should shoot them. what will happen if i do? and what slugs would u recommend for 20 gauge full choke? thanks!

Fosters-style slugs would still work, but may not be as accurate as through a mod or cylinder bore barrel. We killed a bunch of deer in NY state with plain ole remmy and federal sluggers through full choke guns but us guys who the best accuracy had dedicated smooth bore slug guns with dedicated slug bored barrels.

Rifled slugs, yes. NO SABOTS! Shouldn't harm the gun, but a new rifled barrel these days is pretty cheap! Mossberg and Carlson's both make replacements for good prices...

NEW from Mossberg: $115.76 for cyl., smooth bore, $163.17 for fully rifled.

Used: A LOT cheaper. I just saw some used AND new on auction on Ebay starting around $75.00
