Must be you stoped in at Ziggie's Gun Shop too. I was there a few days ago and he was telling me about the card shoots. I think it is a downstate thing and not many people up here shoot it. I have never herd of a card shoot before then. I think he wants to try and get it started up here to help sell some of his shotguns. I don't think that will happen. Just my $.02.

Is this like a block shoot?

When you are up to your butt in alligators, it is hard to remember your intent was to drain the swamp. Stay focused!

Re: Card shoots

Ziggies guns are top notch! That's who built my buddies. The gun is huge and is a tank but it puts so many pellets in a 4" circle it pretty much is a hole.

Re: Card shoots

Ziggy is near Dover, Clyde Acher, is near East Berlin, and Frank Boyer is in Glen Rock. These guys also can make some good custom turkey chokes. The card shoots are very popular in our area.

Re: Card shoots

I use a Mossberg 500 and a .660 choke tube in our local turkey shoots/card shoots and usually win a handful of birds each fall..its not all in the gun..still got to be lucky and a steady shot
