Remington to open new plant in Arkansas

Ladies & Gentelemen,
This past week Remington Arms announced that because of Arkansas's friendly stand on gun control it would open a new plant in Arkansas, expanding their already established Arkansas work force by 80 - 100 new jobs. Remington is one of the biggest arms manufactureres in the world, they just acquired Marlin Arms this past year and are now growing in size again, lets hope this continures, the North Carolina based Corp is expanding again, good news for Remington and Arkansas people both.

They didn't do justice to Marlin firearms. The ones made by Remington do not hold a candle in quality to the origional Marlins. The Remington Co. of today is not your fathers Remington Co.

I bought a new Remington 700 last year and could not be happier and I have them from the 70's up.

John S,
Marlin never did justice to the L.C. Smith shotguns either, I am hoping Remington will eventually contract Uggie to actually make a real 28 Gauge L.C. Smith reproduction, because of Remingtons vast wealth they just might have Uggie make a true reproduction, just as a quality statement to the rest of the industry, it would really make a quality statement for the Remington company to produce a serious SxS double gun for the American public once again.
