Re: coach gun fun

I picked up one a couple years ago and keep it in my bedroom--loaded. It has external hammers so no springs are compressed. Love the short shotgun, but mine is an ugly one. I showed it to my younger daughter and her boyfriend and told them how it was used. I actually taught her something; where the term "shotgun" originated.

Re: coach gun fun

I picked up a 20ga. coach gun last year at an auction. It had the external hammers etc, and the sling swivels on it. I picked up a shell holder sling and clipped it on and holds 15 rounds split between 00 buck, slugs, and #5 shot. definitely looks old school cool. Shoots good too. At 15yds both slugs were an inch apart in the bullseye. Even won a round with it at one of the turkey shoots.

That's for sure. I also show them my rifles and how well they shoot at 1400 yds. They will never know whence it came.

Re: coach gun fun

Not to hi-jack the thread, but how did you secure the sling?

Re: coach gun fun

Went to the range yesterday... OMG this is my pure fun gun! I shot a mix of rounds. It like to eat federal tru ball slugs at 15 yards. both barrels toss these slug 1.5 from each other near "dead center" of target!

But the most fun was shooting clays! This was awesome the looks from the old crusty guys with those fancy single barrel trap gun on the line.... What was this guy shooting.

To be honest it took few birds to get on target but I was hitting more then few when I got the feel of this shotgun.

will hunt for food....
